Middle-earth RPG - RP(TTF): The War in the South
Baragund sat quietly smoking his pipe while listening to Rytandur's tale, his eyes conveying sympathy for the tragedies that had befallen Rytandur.
Baragund was not one to deny stew to a soul, and so Ethan sat down and was soon laughing in the merriment they were having.
Each tale makes Baragund blush and smile sheepishly at Lynea.

 Middle-earth Mythology - Baragund
Baragund is a man and therefore should be listed among the men, not in the category "Others." There is a reason for subdividing the index.
Baragund is not a Numenorean, because he lived in the first age before Numenor existed.
People should really try to use this system the way it was meant to be used.

The question of ND or N(N)
This name it bears in the oldest records that survive, and it is here retained in that form, though now it is called Belerian." Thus the use of the form Beleriand is a deliberate archaism; in contemporary Sindarin the name was pronounced Belerian.
Apparently "archaic spellings" were still quite common in the Third Age, and in the text of LotR this is also reflected in names that were still in contemporary use, such as Morthond, Merethrond or Elrond.
Names like Baragund etc. would also be archaisms, whereas a spelling like Húrin reflects the pronunciation current in later ages; back in the First Age, Húrin would have called himself Húrind.

You can work intently at whatever is new and holds your interest at the moment, but your interest wanes quickly when drudgery and monotony set in.
The name Baragund gives you a strongly independent and highly creative nature, with drive and ambition to have experiences and accomplish things out of the ordinary.
This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the solar plexus.

Most of her people fled to Dor-lomin soon after Bregolas and many of his men were slain in battle, but Baragund and others stayed with Barahir, and followed him faithfully.
She was not an Elrosian (i.e., not descended from Elros Tar-Minyatur) and therefore though long-lived like all Numenoreans, she did not possess the unusually long life-span of the Elrosians.
Morwen was the daughter of Baragund, the elder son (and, strangely, rightful heir) of Bregolas, who was Lord of Ladros from 448 to 455.

Another note of interest due to trade with other races would be that many ages ago, or so the tales go, some from my family had dealings with the Edain, and especially of the house of Baragund.
A chance encounter with a woman of that house, Bereth, the aunt of Morwen, left such an impression on the kinfolk that they named their next girl-child after her.

For example, did Aragorn rule by the divine right of kings?
Well, to figure that out one needs to know whether Finrod's gift of a ring to Barahir somehow altered the line of descent in the Beorian noble family (actually, it doesn't matter -- Barahir's son Beren survived, Barahir's nephews Baragund and Belegund died childless).

Elatan's son may have been elevated to the lordship of Andunie because he was a king's grandson, but it could also be that Elatan was the most respected leader in Andunie and would himself have been made lord of that region if there had been a need for one.
Silmarien married Elatan of Andunie, who may have been a descendant of Beor from a lesser line.
Erendis' father, Beregar, was a Beorian descended from Beleth, the sister of Baragund and Belegund, the nephews of Barahir, Beren's father.

White Council archive Re: L-ND-L Tolkien and the Inklings discussion
It's possible that Elatan also came of that line, and that Beleth married someone who was somehow related to Beor himself, perhaps a descendant of Belen or Bardnor (although Bardnor's son Bereg left Beleriand).
The Marachians, of course, would have included the Beorians, and since the Line of Boromir (first Lord of Ladros) had ended with Dior, Elros would have been revered among them but not regarded as any more of a leader than whomever had taken up their headship.
Erendis was a descendant of Beor, being descended from Beleth, the daughter of Baragund.
