I like Gandalf, and it would have been very much in character for him to be present at the battle.
However, without suitable models in the range to create all manner of undead nastiness to form the core of Angmar’s army, this idea reluctantly had to fall by the wayside (though it is coming, I promise).
Of course, we don’t know where he was at the time, and as such, it was a very minor fiddle on my part to add him here.

Therefore, Pippin loosely saw himself as fighting off the Ruffians with the authority of the King supporting him.
