Beren - encyclopedia article about Beren.
Lúthien bore Beren a son, named Dior, Thingol's heir, considered to be one of the fairest beings to ever live, for in him flowed the blood of Men, the blood of Elves, and the blood of the Ainur.
In the earliest versions of the legendarium (see: The Book of Lost Tales), Beren was a Gnome (a Ñoldorin Elf), son of Egnor (which might have been an early name for Aegnor).
Her soul went to the Halls of Mandos, where she managed to charm Mandos into granting her a wish.

Middle Earth's red-fanged father of wolves snapped at the jewel of starlight which Beren had just stolen from Morgoth's crown and took the thief's hand with it.

Encyclopedia of Arda: Steward of Gondor
We know that the office of Steward was created by King Rómendacil I, so the first holder of the title must have taken up their duties before Rómendacil's death in III 541.
The dating in the Tale of Years therefore appears to be an error - probably a simple confusion with Belecthor's date of birth, which is given as III 2752.
There is no canonical record of Faramir's son, but the texts underlying Appendix A to The Lord of the Rings list 'Elboron' as his heir.
