Glorfindel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Glorfindel was the one who made a prophecy about the Witch-king, that "not by the hand of man will he fall." This prophecy was fulfilled when Éowyn, a woman, slew the Witch-king, and Meriadoc Brandybuck, who helped her kill him.
Glorfindel first comes in as a Ñoldo in the account of the escape of Tuor, Idril, Eärendil and many others from the fall of Gondolin in the First Age.
Tolkien, Glorfindel is an Elf, a character that appears on a couple of occasions in the tales of Middle-earth.

Glorfindel is telling us a story about Ada!" Elrohir exclaimed as Elrond seated Celebrían, who was quickly drawn into the story; and Glorfindel held their attention as he regaled them with the tale he had recently heard from Círdan.
Glorfindel's observation was interrupted by small hands tugging at his tunic, and he turned to the wide eyes and small faces that waited expectantly for him.
Glorfindel stopped as his eyes rested upon Elrond, who had slipped in midway through the story with Istuion in tow.

Glorfindel had to prevent himself from grabbing advisor and showing himself deep inside the other's haven, but he knew he would hurt his lover if he did that.
Glorfindel raised his fingers and he placed them upon the Erestor's quivering lip, sighing when he saw how beautiful advisor looked in his lustful state.
This so-called control was withering away, because Glorfindel just wanted to push himself inside of the advisor and to be over with it, but he knew he would rip his lover apart if he did that.

 Narn i Hîn Nienor: Glorfindel
Due to the nature of his creation, Glorfindel is capable of slowly channeling the energies of the Between into his body; this energy, over time, can then be harvested by his sire.
But crippling his creation was not the end to Ilaron’s cruelty; to further ensure Glorfindel would never rebel against him, a curse was set into the very force of his life energies.
This curse binds him to his master, ensures Glorfindel’s physical safety and prevents him from gaining, or offering, assistance to those that might seek to break Ilaron’s hold over his child.

Glorfindel continued bringing Erestor over the edge and every time he thought it would be over soon, Elda teasingly slowed down his ministrations, irritating lustful advisor.
He never saw Glorfindel half naked or bare before and the handsomeness of the other's body was breathtaking to Erestor.
He knew that this time his blabby mouth and his foul habit(- speaking- before- thinking) were very helpful in getting Glorfindel to seduce him, and he promised to himself that he would never try to change to change those two traits he possessed.

"We may then best suppose that Glorfindel returned to middle earth in the second age, before the 'shadow' fell upon Numenore, and while the Numenoreans were welcomed by the Eldar as powerful allies.
His return must have been for the purpose of dtrengthening Gil-Galad and Elrond, when the growing evil of intentions of Sauron were at last perceived by them" (Peoples Of Middle Earth "Last Writings").

Jackson's abiding love for the source material comes across in the wealth of incidental detail (the stone trolls from The Hobbit, Bilbo's hand-drawn maps); and even when he deviates from the book he does so for sound dramatic reasons (the interminable Tom Bombadil interlude is deleted; Arwen not Glorfindel rescues Frodo at the ford).
Both long-time fantasy fans and newcomers alike were simultaneously amazed, astonished and left agog for parts two and three.
New Zealand stands in wonderfully for Middle-Earth and his cast are almost ideal, headed by Elijah Wood as a suitably naïve Frodo, though one with plenty of iron resolve, and Ian McKellen as an avuncular-yet-grimly determined Gandalf.
