I wonder why he was executed, and I would like to see him display some more of that characteristic Gryffindor bravery, perhaps in the war against Voldemort; it would be interesting to see what powers ghosts possess.
I hope we see more of Nick in future books.

I haven't seen the third Potter movie yet, but I have read the book and Nearly Headless Nick wasn't in it (or if he was, he just got a brief mention).
I would imagine that Cleese has to do all his Nearly Headless Nick scenes in front of a blue screen on a separate sound stage, and so he never gets to interact with the other actors.
