 The Paperback Page
Paperback lets you take pure text files and quickly put them on your Newton device - creating Newton Paperback books straight from your text, with no extra work or hassle, for free!
Note that Paperback books created with Paperback 1.02 will work just fine on Newton 2.0 devices, but if you create a new one with Paperback 2.0, you can optionally make it Newton 2.0-only, which results in a smaller, faster Paperback book.
Paperback does not create "real" Newton books like those created with Apple's BookMaker application or Newton Press.

During the 1930s and 40s the paperbound, pocket-size book rose meteorically in popularity in English-speaking countries, and in the 1950s the “quality” paperback appeared, presenting durable yet inexpensive editions of well-known writers.
Writing a new chapter in book publishing: African Americans aremaking money doing what others thought impossible; getting blacks to buyhardcover books.

FREYA STARK, JANE GENIESSE - The Southern Gates of Arabia : A Journey in the Hadhramaut (Modern Library (Paperback)) - ...
This book will appeal to anyone who is curious about other peoples, other lands and other times or who enjoys good writing.
This book then, is an account of her curtailed trip.
Her work is a perfect illustration that journeying well, and not achieving the destination, is the better accomplishment.

Amazon.co.uk: Books: Life, the Universe and Everything (Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
Aside from coming up with the idea of the Hitchhiker series, I think this book is Douglas Adams at his very best – the notion of bistromathics (eating in a bistro allowing you to travel vast distances) was quite hilarious.
Before reading this review and book, make sure you have read the first two books in the Douglas Adams series of Hitchhiker Guides, without which very little will make much sense.
Customers who bought books by Douglas Adams also bought books by these authors:

'An appealing, meditative collection of thoughts and observations on the book industry and the state of literature in the early 21st century.

GCGTDC Paperback Book Cache by Flock of Seagulls
We’ve hidden a Rubbermaid container full of paperback books out in the woods.
We're hoping to keep it full of good books, so bring one that you've read and tell us a little about your book and why you liked it.
This was an impromptu caching trip, so was not prepared with a book.

Amazon.com: Books: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Book 2)
I think that's enough to speculate that all of the Harry Potter books are basically Harry getting into a lot of trouble in order to save the day and his triumph making up for, explaining and excusing his previous unruliness.
I have no problem with books that are written chiefly for entertainment and I don't criticize the author's ability or integrity due to the type of book they write.
This series breaks the ordinary mold of children's books which are not always written with the same flair J.K. Rowling successfully incorporates into the plot, and they each possess their own sense of magic, not allowing the reader to put the book down!

American Book Awards, Before Columbus Foundation
The American Book Awards have evolved as the serious alternative to the monolithic cultural uniformity of the National Book Awards and others.
The American Book Awards were established in 1978 by the Before Columbus Foundation to recognize outstanding literary achievement by contemporary American authors, without restriction to race, sex, ethnic background, or genre.
Thematic collections of short works and excerpts of longer will be published on an ongoing basis.
