William Shakespeare - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shakespeare is among the very few playwrights who have excelled in both tragedy and comedy.
William Shakespeare (baptised April 26, 1564 – April 23, 1616) was an English poet and playwright who has a reputation as one of the greatest of all writers in the English language and in Western literature, as well as one of the world's pre-eminent dramatists.
In addition, Shakespeare's later comedies are commonly known as "romances".

Shakespeare's Biography: Information on Shakespeare's Parents, Siblings, Career as Actor, Children, Marriage, Death, ...
As we all know, Shakespeare was a young man when he began to write magnificent plays that had plots based entirely on Latin stories, such as the Menaechmi of Plautus, and striking imagery that was drawn from the Metamorphoses of Ovid and the Lives of Plutarch.
The Shakespeares' fourth child, Gilbert, was baptized on October 13, 1566, at Holy Trinity.
There is a fable that Shakespeare stole a deer from Sir Thomas Lucy at Charlecote, and instead of serving a prison sentence, fled from Stratford.

 Shakespeare's Life and Times
William Shakespear, prefaced to his 1709 edition of the Works.
Schoenbaum, in his famous Shakespeare's Lives, described the section of his book devoted to anti-Stratfordian authorship ("Part VI: Deviations") as "...the cruelest endeavor I have ever confronted....The voluminousness of output is matched only by the intrinsic insubstantiality of most of it, two characteristics which together produce an overpowering effect." (Oxford U. Press, 1991, p.449).
Shakespeare, No Astronomer - A brief article that concludes (shocklingly) that in writing Julius Caesar, Shakespeare did not take into account the relative positions of earth, Polaris and Beta Ursae Majoris.

In 1623, two working companions of Shakespeare from the Lord Chamberlain's Men, John Heminges and Henry Condell, printed the First Folio edition of the Collected Works, of which half the plays contained therein were previously unpublished.
Rowe notes that young Shakespeare was quite fond of poaching, and may have had to flee Stratford after an incident with Sir Thomas Lucy, whose lands he allegedly hunted.
William Shakespeare's legacy is a body of work that will never again be equaled in Western civilization.

 Shakespeare Authorship
"The Ghost of Shakespeare." Five of the essays were by Oxfordians, arguing that the Earl of Oxford wrote the works of Shakespeare, while five were by Shakespeare scholars arguing that William Shakespeare was the author.
In Shakespeare's Knowledge of Italy, the Classics, and the Law, David Kathman focuses on three areas where antistratfordians have often claimed that the plays exhibit knowledge beyond the ability of William Shakespeare of Stratford: Italy, the classics, and law.
The Shakespeare Clinic, under the direction of Ward Elliott and Robert Valenza of Claremont-McKenna College in California, was a project which compared Shakespeare's poetry with the work of other contemporary poets by means of various objective tests.

Shakespeare by author, filmmaker, and television producer Michael Wood is a biography of the man who is justifiable considered to be the greatest playwright in the literary history of the English language.
Wood delves into the archival evidence to reconstitute as accurate as possible a picture of the Elizabethan England in which William Shakespeare lived, and bringing together insights into the live and work of this gifted man, including his family, his sources of inspiration, his personal attitude on social issues, and more.
The companion volume to Wood's four-part PBS documentary, to air in early 2004, this life of Shakespeare has all the vividness of a good television profile, backed up with a keen and contentious historical perspective on his turbulent era.

Shakespeare Parodies : Colection of Parodies of Shakespeare Tragedies
While the author attempted to follow Shakespeare's plots as closely as reasonably possible (for parodies), you should not rely on these scripts in a cheesy attempt to avoid reading the original works, while still hoping to pass your examinations.
Without limiting the foregoing, please be advised that in the original works by William Shakespeare, Ophelia is not a conniving gold digger, Edmund and Edgar are not ventriloquist's dummies, and Lady Macbeth does not turn into a man when she says, "Spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here."
The author grants all internet users the right to print these scripts for their own, personal, non-commercial enjoyment.

 The Shakespeare Programming Language
We have no idea why, but that night we were also thinking about Shakespeare in general, and Shakespearian insults in particular and three hours later we had come up with this amazing idea: the Shakespeare Programming Language, SPL.
One might almost say that the language described this far ought to be able to do anything that can be done with other programming languages, albeit more flowery, were it not for the fact that the storage capacity is severely limited.
There are only so many Shakespeare characters (some one hundred of them are recognized by the parser), and each of them can only store an integer of finite size.
