If you don't feel confident enough, there is always the Imperius Curse, and you can cast it and make someone else do the job for you (although this particular spell represents different challenges.) You can also kindly ask one of your bolder fellow Death Eaters to cast it for you.
Otherwise your curse will not work and the muggles will walk away like nothing happened.
Having magical abilities is not enough to be able to cast this curse.

I think he used the curse because he couldn't think of anything else that would match his own pain.
I think JKR also put this in the book so we would know that Harry won't be using the unforgiveable curses (or trying to) on Voldemort.
As for the rest of the series, I think that he would mean it enough to preform the curse on Voldemort, but I can't think of anyone else...

I believe there must be a hate behind each unforgivable curse to work, analyze each instance that you know of an unforgivable curse and you find hate.
The reason I think this is because no matter what Harry learns or discovers between now and the seventh book, I think Dumbledore will all ready have that knowledge, power, ability, etc. Harry may very well one day surpass the master wizard but not any time soon.
Dumbledore and the Unforgivable Curses, Is he too noble to use them?

When Bellatrix says you don't know how to use the curses, there must be some special way to use the curses like when use summon a patronious.
Harry is probably not evil enough to use the some of the dark arts curses.
And Crouch was kind of well not right in the head, he was so power hungry and so focused on catching death eaters, he was kind of evil the hate he had, preforming death curses and such, he was in my opinion evil.

I was so annoyed when the curse didn't work! Harry was soooo angry, it made me sad that his anger wasn't enough to use the curse.
But, I think Harry needs to be *very* careful in the future to avoid any Unforgiveable Curses, even if he faces Voldi (keep in mind that Dumbledore didn't try to kill Voldiwhen when he was dueling with him; I don't think that Dumbli would ever use an Unforgiveable Curse).
